Kelly Olszewski grew up in Streator, Illinois, and brings a unique blend of business and life experience to her legal practice. After a successful career working in corporate finance for Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan and raising four children, Kelly decided to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming an attorney. Today, she focuses her practice on workers’ compensation and civil litigation, primarily representing employers, insurance carriers, and other defendants in civil matters across Mississippi.
Guided by her grandmother’s advice that “you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar,” Kelly believes that professionalism, kindness, and strong relationships with employers, adjusters, and judges are essential to a successful practice. When it comes to representing her clients, she believes strong attorney-client relationships are built on communication: regular updates, clarity on complex legal issues, and meaningful conversations beyond email. Kelly actively focuses on understanding her clients’ needs, working toward resolutions that meet those needs as much as possible, while also having the compassion—and candor—to have difficult conversations when necessary.
Outside the office, you’ll usually find Kelly at a ballfield, horse show, or dance performance cheering on her kids. She draws strength and perspective from her family life, and she brings the same energy, compassion, and commitment to advocating for her clients. Kelly’s journey into law is a testament to the idea that it’s never too late to pursue your goals and make a meaningful impact.
