Davis House is a partner at Anderson Crawley & Burke. He focuses his practice on civil litigation and construction law matters throughout Mississippi and Louisiana.
Davis routinely represents contractors, subcontractors, materials suppliers, and property owners in all aspects of construction-related matters. His experience includes defending construction defect claims, prosecuting and defending lien and payment actions, and advising construction professionals on contract formation and interpretation issues.
Davis also represents businesses and individuals in the defense of personal injury, premises liability, products liability, and automobile liability claims. He works closely with clients and insurance carriers to evaluate exposure early, develop practical litigation strategies, and pursue efficient resolutions whether that’s through motion practice, negotiation, arbitration, or trial.

Representative Matters
Successfully appealed trial court’s order granting summary judgment in favor of ATV driver where genuine issue of material fact existed as to driver’s negligence in Workers’ Compensation subrogation action – Mississippi State Agencies Self-Insured Workers’ Compensation Trust v. Herrgott, 369 So. 3d 563 (Miss. 2023);
Obtained expungement of construction liens filed by general contractor and subcontractor on property owned by client pursuant to the Mississippi Construction Lien Law (2022);
Successfully appealed trial court’s order compelling arbitration pursuant to construction arbitration statutes where parties’ contract did not contain a valid arbitration provision – Hillhouse v. Chris Cook Construction, LLC, 325 So. 3d 646 (Miss. 2021);
Obtained summary judgment in favor of defendants in relation to plaintiff’s premises liability and dram shop act case (2021);
Obtained summary judgment in medical malpractice case relating to claims against pharmacy for injuries allegedly caused by certain medication (S.D. Miss. 2021);
Obtained dismissal of plaintiff’s breach of contract claims as time-barred by the statute of limitations (2021);
Successfully litigated homeowners’ claims against unlicensed contractor for construction defect, negligence and fraud (2021);
Successfully litigated national construction company’s claims against subcontractor for breach of contract and breach of warranty (2020);
Obtained dismissal of lawsuit for plaintiff’s failure to prosecute, where plaintiff failed to take any action in furtherance of case for seven years (2020);
Successfully defended Mississippi State Dental Board’s position in connection with licensee’s appeal to Mississippi Supreme Court – Arrington v. Mississippi State Board of Dental Examiners, 266 So. 3d 627 (Miss. 2019);
Successfully arbitrated contractor’s breach of contract and late payment penalty claims, obtaining an award of amounts owed under several contracts, statutory late payment penalties, interest, costs, expenses and attorneys’ fees (2018);
Obtained expungement of construction liens filed by subcontractors on multiple properties owned by client pursuant to the Mississippi Construction Lien Law (2017);
Successfully arbitrated subcontractor’s wrongful termination and breach of contract claims against general contractor, obtaining an award of subcontract balance, interest, costs, expenses and attorneys’ fees (2017).
