Pamela E. Gunter

Pamela E. Gunter (Pam) was born in Jackson, Mississippi. She completed her preparatory education at Delta State University (B.S., Criminal Justice 1988) and her legal education at the University of Mississippi (J.D., 1991). While in law school, Ms. Gunter was a member of Mississippi Law Journal (advisor for Casenote Competition) and Moot Court Board (Winner, Bench Memo Award). She received the American Jurisprudence Award in Pre-trial Practice. She also taught Legal Writing and Research as a teaching assistant. In 2007, Ms. Gunter received her Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Alabama. She is presently a member of the Mississippi Bar Association and the Workers' Compensation Section of the Mississippi Bar. She was admitted to the Bars of Mississippi, the United States District Courts for Northern and Southern District of Mississippi, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in 1992.
Her primary focus has been defending employers and insurance carriers in state workers' compensation claims and employment related matters. Ms. Gunter has also served as a Hearing Officer for Medicare carriers and intermediaries for the past 15 years, adjudicating coverage issues regarding medical claims. She has gained an extensive working knowledge in the medical field, as well as application of federal regulations, particularly Medicare regulations. She is also experienced in Antitrust Law and Tax and Estate Planning, and the handling of civil litigation in state and federal courts in a variety of litigation, including automobile liability, uninsured motorist issues, premises liability, and products liability.
