Lisa L. Meggs

Lisa L. Meggs, a native of Kosciusko, Mississippi, was admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in Mississippi in 1994.  She completed her preparatory education at Mississippi State University (B.B.A., cum laude , College of Business and Industry, 1992) and her legal education at the University of Mississippi School of Law (J.D., 1994).  While in law school, Ms. Meggs was a member of the Mississippi Law Journal and Moot Court Board.  She was the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Awards in Real Property, Torts, and Best Written Brief.  Ms. Meggs' practice is focused on defending employers and insurance carriers in state workers' compensation claims and employment related matters. She is also experienced in the handling of civil defense litigation in state and federal courts in a variety of business litigation matters, including breach of contract, business disparagement, and bad faith claims.
