David B. McLaurin

David B. McLaurin, ACB's Partner in Charge of its Tupelo office, was born in Memphis, Tennessee, and grew up in Oxford, Mississippi. He is a member of the Mississippi Bar (1986) and is licensed to practice before the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit. He completed his preparatory education at the University of Mississippi (B.A. 1983) and obtained his law degree at the University of Mississippi School of Law (J.D. 1986). Subsequently, Mr. McLaurin furthered his legal education at Tulane University (L.L.M., 1987) with an emphasis on Environmental and Energy Law. He is presently a member of the Mississippi Bar Association (Administrative Law and Workers' Compensation, Labor and Employment Law, Litigation and General Practice, Natural Resources, Energy and Environmental Law), American Bar Association (Tort and Insurance Practice, Litigation, Administrative Law and Regulatory Practice, Labor and Employment Law, Natural Resources, Energy and Environmental Law), Lee County Bar Association, Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association, Defense Research Institute, Atlanta Claims Association, and the Mississippi Claims Association. Mr. McLaurin served as President of the Northeast Mississippi Claims Association in 1995, having previously served as Sergeant-At-Arms, Secretary, and Vice President the preceding three years. His wide range of legal experience includes representation of employers and carriers in workers compensation cases, employment law, products liability, premises liability, bad faith litigation, and other insurance related litigation. Mr. McLaurin is also experienced in handling claims and cases involving environmental law issues.
