P. Sharkey Burke, Jr.

P. Sharkey Burke, Jr.'s (email) primary focus has been defending employers and insurance carriers in state workers' compensation claims and employment related matters. He is experienced in the handling of civil litigation in state and federal courts in a variety of litigation, including premises liability, products liability, and state tort and civil rights claims against county and local governmental entities in the State of Mississippi. He was born in San Antonio, Texas, raised in Clarksdale, Mississippi, and graduated from Lee Academy High School in 1988. Mr. Burke completed his preparatory education at Millsaps College (B.S., History 1992) and his legal education at Mississippi College School of Law (J.D., cum laude, 1996). He is a member of the American Bar Association, Mississippi Bar Association (Employment Law, Administrative Law and Governmental Law and Workers’ Compensation Section), Rankin County Bar Association, Jackson Young Lawyers Association, Defense Research Institute and the Bar Association for the Fifth Federal Circuit.
