James M. (Jim) Anderson
Mr. Anderson (e-mail) is the Managing Member of Anderson Crawley & Burke, PLLC, a law firm located in the Jackson, Mississippi area representing the business and insurance communities in a broad spectrum of practice areas throughout Mississippi. Born in Hazard, Kentucky, he is a member of the American Bar Association, Mississippi Bar Association, Madison County Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, and American Society of Workers' Compensation Professionals. He has served as Chairman of the Workers' Compensation Section of the Mississippi Bar and was a member of the Governor's Task Force on Workers' Compensation in the 1990's, the efforts of which led to a variety of system reforms. Mr. Anderson has been a faculty member for numerous seminars relating to workers' compensation and other employment related issues and offers a series of STAR* training seminars to the claims community regarding the Mississippi Workers' Compensation Law. In addition to being in private law practice focused primarily on workers= compensation issues for over 28 years, he served as General Counsel for Mississippi's largest workers' compensation insurance organization, an opportunity that gave him an added perspective in dealing with the myriad of issues confronting businesses and insurance entities today. He serves on the Board of Directors and is Secretary for the Mississippi Workers= Compensation Educational Association, Inc., an entity focused on promoting education related to workers= compensation issues in Mississippi. He carries Martindale Hubbell=s highest rating (AV) and has been included in The Best Lawyers in America for the past 12 years.
